TONYA T. STRICKLAND: I did my first writing in crayons on the underside of tables when my mother wasn’t looking and began writing for print newspapers (remember them?) at 16. Today I create books of all kinds, teach university students online, homeschool my four-year old twin grandsons, hike with my family (downhill only), lead Bible study groups, speak to organizations (when asked), and try to avoid cake for breakfast (except on Saturdays).
